LOCATION: Nonquitt, MA
OBJECTIVE: Build a new home in the flood plain on concrete stilts. The home was designed by Moger Mehrohf Architects out of Pennsylvania. We worked together as a team to build the modern/traditional structures while being separated by a great distance. The structures were connected by a deck and overhang which essentially joined two houses as one. The home stands between a tidal pond and the oceanfront nestled behind a field and against a backdrop of trees. The designer’s intention was to have the home blend in with the natural environment, be super insulated while having a bright open concept interior.
